HMO Ladies join Race for Life 2007

Four fit ladies from Hand Morgan and Owen Solicitors, in Stafford supported Cancer Research UK in the 2007 Race for Life on 9th September.

Kate Bloor chose to run the distance and aimed to better her time from last year. Her colleagues Helena Pugh and Clare Whitehall completed the 5km in 50 minutes with Jenny Edwards following close behind them in 55 minutes, using a combination of jogging and walking around the ploughed fields and hilly woodland.

The ladies joined the Stafford race which took place on Shugborough Estate on Sunday 9th September at 11.00am.

Race for Life held 280 dates across the UK this year and hoped to pull in 800,000 ladies, who aimed to either run, jog or walk the five kilometre course.

The target this year is to raise £60 million to put towards funding for ground-breaking research to prevent, diagnose and treat all kinds of cancer.

So far two million women have taken part in the race over the years and have raised altogether a total of over £140 million in sponsorship.
